What is a THC-O Flower?

There are a ton of different cannabis strains out there.  It may seem overwhelming to some, as it seems like a new strain or discovery comes out every other week.  Overwhelming though it may be, it is still exciting, as we are discovering more ways to use cannabis for our benefit.  So, what can the THC-O Flower do for us?  The short answer is that we are not very sure as of now.

What is a THC-O Flower?

The THC-O Flower has certainly made a name for itself by becoming known as the “psychedelic cannabinoid.” It is even rumored to be three times as potent as delta 9 THC and five times stronger than Delta 8.

The THC-O Flower is actually a synthetic cannabinoid that is made in a lab.  CDD is formed into Delta 8 and then acetic anhydride is added to create the acetate THC-O.

Effects and Benefits of THC-O Flower

Since this strain is known for being very strong, it has a lot of pleasurable effects, such as:

  • Body High
  • Buzzes
  • Expansion of consciousness
  • Psychedelic Effects
  • Feelings of relaxation and joy

THC-O is legal, as long as it comes from hemp, but since it is strong, users should proceed with caution. See how much you can handle when first starting out and maybe build it up as you go.  However, since we don’t know that much about the THC-O Flower yet, that is not recommended.  The medical benefits of the THC-O Flower can include:

  • Easing pain and stress
  • Sleep Aid
  • Appetite Increases (this can come in handy for those with illnesses that make it hard to eat)

The THC-O flower is still a relatively new strand, so more research is required in order to get an idea of its full benefits and effects.

Negative Effects

Since the THC-O flower is still being explored and it is so potent, there have been reports of negative effects. So, please proceed with caution and start with small amounts.  Some of these effects include:

  • Lethargy
  • Dizziness
  • Grogginess
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Seizures

Not too much is known about the THC-O Flower yet, but we do know that it is very strong and potent.  If you do decide to try the THC-O Flower, start with small amounts.  You may even have to keep going at small doses since it is so potent.  This is why it is very important to know your limits when it comes to using any type of cannabis.
